1. Phantom Wallet Support

Swing is excited to announce that users can now connect their Phantom wallets to the Swing widget for seamless transactions on Ethereum and Polygon chains. Phantom is a popular non-custodial wallet designed for the Solana blockchain ecosystem. This integration with Phantom allows users to easily interact with Swing and bridge assets across different chains, providing enhanced convenience and accessibility. This integration paves the way for Swing to expand support for the Solana ecosystem in the near future.

2. Widget Customization

To offer more customization options, Swing has introduced widget color customization. With the use of CSS variables, customers can now override default color values and tailor the widget's appearance to match their dApp's style. Whether it's a dark or light theme, this feature enables developers to create a seamless and consistent user experience within their application. Check out our docs.

3. MultiversX Integration

Swing has expanded its support for the MultiversX chain, an important addition to the Swing ecosystem. Users can now enjoy pre-swaps on Ethereum, allowing them to send any token on Ethereum and receive USDC, USDT, and BUSD tokens on the MultiversX chain. Additionally, Swing now offers cross-chain bridging between Binance Smart Chain and MultiversX, with support for USDT, USDC, and BUSD tokens. These integrations provide users with enhanced liquidity options and open up new possibilities for seamless cross-chain transactions.

4. USDT Approval Improvement

Swing has addressed a challenge related to the USDT token's implementation of the approve() function, which deviates from the ERC20 standard. Previously, users encountered difficulties sending USDT transactions if the sending amount exceeded the previously approved USDT amount. Swing has updated its contracts, API, and SDK to set the allowance to zero immediately before each approve() call. This improvement ensures that users can seamlessly bridge and swap USDT tokens on any chain, regardless of the transaction amount, without encountering any issues.

5. Contract Audits

At Swing, we prioritize the safety and security of our customers and end-users. As part of our commitment to robust security practices, Swing has recently completed another round of audits conducted by Peckshield, an industry-leading blockchain security company. We are pleased to share that our EVM contracts have undergone a thorough review. You can review the latest audit report to gain confidence in the security of the Swing ecosystem here.

a. Twitter Space: Swing Integration Proposal with Osmosis

The Swing integration proposal focuses on enabling Cross-Chain swaps between EVM and Cosmos on Osmosis. This integration will strengthen the liquidity options and expand the ecosystem. Sam will discuss the role of the Cross-Chain Swaps contract in this proposal.

b. AshSwap and Swing Join Forces to Unlock Deeper Liquidity for MultiversX!🤝

Cross-Chain Contract Calls

Responding to the demands of our users and the projects we collaborate with, Swing is thrilled to announce the launch of cross-chain contract calls. This highly anticipated feature enables interoperability between major blockchain ecosystems. With cross-chain contract calls, developers can execute transactions on the destination blockchain after bridging the tokens, all within a single transaction on the source blockchain. This eliminates the need for multiple steps and separate transactions on different networks.

For instance, converting MATIC on Polygon to ETH on Ethereum usually requires multiple transactions. However, with Swing, this can now be accomplished in a single transaction on Polygon. By passing the destination swap contract call data through a bridge, the final swap is executed for the user, and the swapped tokens are sent to the user’s wallet. Cross-chain contract calls are currently supported between Ethereum, BSC, Avalanche, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Fantom blockchains via the Stargate bridge. More bridges are coming soon.

Cross-chain contract calls unlock a world of possibilities for developers and users. Some use cases include cross-chain staking, lending, and liquidity protocol deposits. With this feature, developers can deliver a frictionless user experience allowing any user on any chain to participate in their protocols.

Swing x Osmosis

Swing is thrilled to collaborate with Osmosis, a decentralized exchange (DEX) and automated market maker (AMM) protocol within the Cosmos ecosystem. Our integrators have expressed great interest in cross-chain swaps and liquidity bridging between EVM and Cosmos chains. To fulfill this demand, Swing has developed a cross-chain Osmosis contract that is ready to be deployed to the Osmosis mainnet.

To deploy the contract, Swing is actively participating in the Osmosis governance process, seeking approval through on-chain validator voting. We invite the community to engage in our proposal on Commonweath and join the discussion to support Swing's journey into Cosmos.

Integration Updates

Swing continues to expand its network of partners and integrations to enhance cross-chain liquidity. We are excited to announce our recent integrations with Hop, ParaSwap, and Across. These integrations enable seamless cross-chain swaps and liquidity transfers, providing users with increased flexibility and accessibility.

Swing API Fees

The Swing API has undergone a significant update to provide developers with more transparency and control over fees. The API now provides estimated source chain gas fees in the /quote response for all routes. Developers can now better understand the cost of transactions and can communicate this information to users, which can help to build trust and loyalty.

Swing Widget UX/UI Updates

Swing has made several updates to the Swing Widget to provide a better user experience:

• The new Widget UI displays fees breakdown for each route, which includes estimated network gas fees and bridge fees. You can learn more about the fee breakdown here: https://developers.swing.xyz/fees.

• Users can now see the USD conversion of the receiving amount and all associated fees, making it easier to understand the cost of each transaction. In Transaction history, users can now see USD conversions on both sending and receiving amounts.

• Swing has also added Bridge/DEX information for each selected route, in-progress transaction, and transaction history details. This makes it easier for users to keep track of the bridge they used for a particular transaction.

Swing Widget for Non-React Applications

Previously, Swing Widget could only be used within a React environment. Now, Swing has updated the Widget to support non-react applications, allowing developers who are building non-react applications to integrate with the Swing Widget with just a few lines of code. Whether you are building an HTML or Angular application - we got you covered!

Stargate Bridge 

We are thrilled to announce our integration with Stargate Bridge. Stargate is a fully composable cross-chain bridge protocol built on LayerZero that enables native asset transfers between different blockchain networks. Unlike most current bridges, Stargate lets users send native tokens directly to non-native chains, without relying on an intermediate token, making cross-chain bridging a seamless and single transaction process. This integration enables more routes and better prices for cross-chain swaps and transfers between Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Fantom, and BSC. 

Single Chain Swaps

We are happy to introduce Same Chain Swaps, a highly requested feature by our customers and users. Same Chain Swapping allows users to instantly exchange one token for another on any supported EVM chain. Swaps are enabled by Paraswap, 1Inch, Dodo, and Swing DEX aggregators, giving users access to the best prices. 

Swing Developers Platform

Swing is proud to announce the launch of the Swing Platform, a no-code tool that lets teams instantly configure bridges, blockchains, and tokens for their Swing API, SDK, or widget integration. It is a user-friendly platform that provides developers with the ability to create projects, share access with team members, monitor transaction metrics, and set fees without writing any code. 

The Swing Team launched the platform at ETH Denver conference on the 4th of March at Infrastructure & Stability Stage. We are excited to see the impact the platform will have on making cross-chain integrations more accessible to teams of all skill levels.

Improved Support👨‍🔧

To streamline retail customer support, we've added a new support process. Each transaction now has a Swing Support ID and a link to our Discord community. With this support ID, we have eliminated the need for back-and-forth troubleshooting, and our support team can easily get all the required information to properly help customers with their issues. These issues are recorded in our Sentry issue tracking tool where we can get additional details about the issues that have occurred with transactions.

What’s next?

In 2023, we have big plans to expand Non-EVM ecosystem support, like Cosmos, Solana, and more. We'll be integrating more bridges, chains, and DEXes and improving our API's smart routing capabilities. Enabling more robust monetization and configuration capabilities for our business customers is also a top priority.

Finally, at the end of this month, the Swing team will be at ETH Denver launching a new and exciting product! If you're planning to attend, make sure to find us at the booth there.

Welcome to a new month of the Cross-Chain world! Let’s dive deep together into what happened in the previous month at Swing

New at Swing:

With more than 5000+ entries and 2500+ registered participants, we ran a 2-week beta testing campaign for the new Widget, and we're thrilled to report that it was a great success.

We're excited to announce the beta release of our new and improved Widget. The Widget is a powerful tool that makes it easy for you to swap and bridge assets between any supported chains. Try it out at app.swing.xyz and provide your feedback on Discord.

The new widget features include:

• Improved chain and token selection UX

• Improved transaction UX

• Improved transaction history UX

• Support for multiple wallets

• Token balance indicators

• Improved token list sorting

We're not done yet! We're continuing to work on the Widget and are focusing on fixing outstanding bugs and improving the UX/UI based on the feedback and suggestions we've received.

During the beta testing campaign, we were able to fix a number of bugs, including:

• Failed token swaps via Connext bridge

• Transaction history status issues

• Transfer issue on Hyphen bridge for Optimism->BSC 

• Token duplicates

• Negative bridge fees

Even though the focus of this month was the Widget, we've also made significant integration upgrades this month:

👉 Upgraded the Across SDK to v0.2.2 

👉 Integrated the Coingecko API

👉 Upgraded deBridge's deSwap API

TL;DR: January has been an action-packed month for Swing. We’ve expanded our multi-chain capabilities by adding new blockchains. Swing raised another $6 million in funds. Lastly, our community members can now interact with Swing on our Discord server.

$6 Million funding round

We’ve raised a total of $6 million in a new funding round led by Republic Capital. The battle for cross-chain interoperability is ever so important, and Swing is generating more interest among institutional investors. The Swing network has been valued at $60 million, and Republic Capital, Ava Labs, Hashkey, Kane & Rao, Skynet EGLD Capital, Celer, Bitcoin.com, and Morningstar Ventures are among our new investors.

The new capital influx unlocks new opportunities that will help Swing turn into a top-perform platform to unlock the potential for new DeFi and institutional capital to be moved between chains. We will use the capital to improve the functionalities and security of the cross-chain liquidity and bridge protocol.

Tech Update

We’ve constantly been improving and expanding the number of supported chains on the platform. Interoperability and cross-chain access are the secrets to onboarding new users to crypto and blockchain.

Swing has started to integrate three new blockchains to the rounds, which will help Swing expand their blockchain bridge offering. We’re currently developing and implementing cross-chain liquidity for blockchains such as Solana, Harmony, Fantom, and Moonriver, xDai protocol.

While we’re constantly building new features to make Swing the go-to-cross-chain protocol, users can use the app to interact with Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Ethereum, Aurora, or Avalanche. We will be rolling new updates as they become safe for users.

To make things even more exciting for Swing users, we’re releasing the new Swing API & SDK portal to allow every developer to connect with Swing’s cross-chain liquidity and bridge aggregator!

As we’re expanding Swing’s blockchain cross-chain integration to over 10+ protocols, our Developer API will allow users to connect with the multitude of DEXs. In addition, our integrations with decentralized bridges like Celer, Connext, Hyphen, and Hop, offers more unrestricted access for developers to interact with the Swing App without affecting network and funds security.
