Swing Will Deliver Cross-Chain Liquidity From 24+ Chains on Sei Network
Swing’s SDK + Widget will allow Sei builders to tap into liquidity from dozens of DEXs, bridges, and chains.
We’re delighted to announce that Swing will be integrating Sei Network, bringing multiple liquidity sources to Sei’s trading-optimized layer1 network.
Sei is the first sector-specific layer1 blockchain specialized for exchange. Its ultra-fast network offers a native order matching engine, frontrunning protection, and multiple levels of order bundling and parallelization. This provides a best-in-class trading environment that surpasses anything rival L1 and L2 chains can offer. With blocktimes and time to finality (ttf) at just 500ms, Sei also boasts unmatched speed, while its throughput of 22,000 tps provides more than enough bandwidth to match demand.
This all sounds very impressive, but a trading environment is only as good as the depth of its liquidity: without a plentiful supply of tokens, ranging from stable assets to DeFi blue chips, a layer 1 chain will be unable to realize its full potential.
So what exactly will Swing bring to the table and how will this benefit users of Sei’s L1? Let’s break it down.
Two Products, One Outcome
Swing’s integration will give developers within Sei’s ecosystem access to two core products: our cross-chain SDK and the Swing Widget. Together, these provide liquidity from 24+ EVM and non-EVM chains. This includes aggregated liquidity from 10+ cross-chain bridges, 30+ DEXes, and popular aggregators like 1inch and Paraswap.
Here’s a quick reminder of what each one does:
Swing Widget: Provides a low-code solution for launching cross-chain experiences, empowering developers to create cross-chain applications with ease. It frees devs from lengthy setup for cross-chain dApp deployment, prohibitive costs of hosting and maintaining multiple blockchain nodes, and the security risks of spinning up proprietary cross-chain solutions.
Swing SDK: The underlying code that connects the Swing Widget to dozens of liquidity sources, making cross-chain liquidity a reality. Supported networks include Polygon, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Gnosis, Fantom, Arbitrum, Optimism, Moonriver, Moonbeam, Harmony, Cronos, Aurora, Boba, Metis, OKExChain, Cosmos, Solana, Polkadot, and Elrond.
These two products work in tandem, delivering liquidity to where it’s needed, when it’s needed. So what are the benefits this brings to Sei Network and its army of builders?
Less Code, More Utility
Essentially, Swing makes it easy for Sei devs to create the applications they’ve envisioned without getting mired in the minutiae of cross-chain development: the nodes, the auditing, the security, the code, the maintenance, the costs, etc.
Using Swing’s technology, Sei teams can create applications to:
👉 Easily bridge and swap tokens cross-chain
👉 Implement cross-chain staking and deposits to increase protocol TVL
Through integrating Swing Widget, builders can bring any token into the Sei ecosystem, opening the door to an array of opportunities for trading, staking, and interacting with DeFi in all its forms.
As the number of EVM and non-EVM chains supported by the Swing Widget and SDK grows, so will the available liquidity on integrated networks such as Sei.
We’re excited to witness the possibilities for creating new trading solutions on Sei Network’s highly optimized chain evolve. And we’re delighted to not only be along for the ride, but to be playing a part in making that ride better for all users. Together, Swing and Sei are supporting a new era for cross-chain innovation in which liquidity is king.
About Sei
Sei is the fastest layer 1 blockchain committed to providing best-in-class infrastructure to develop and scale exchanges across Web3. Current L1s fall into a barbell distribution with general-purpose chains (ie. Ethereum and Solana) on one end and app-specific chains (ie. dYdX and Osmosis) on the other. Sei explores the middle of this distribution by offering a custom-built DeFi-specific chain. Sei offers both composability and customizability, opening up entirely new design space for protocols building on Sei and unlocking new capabilities and possibilities for all of DeFi.
