The Swing SDK & Widget: Cross-Chain Liquidity on Demand.
The Swing Widget offers turnkey solutions for anyone to launch cross-chain experience, empowering developers to create cross-chain applications with just a few lines of code.
We were delighted to announce the release of the Swing Widget earlier on Wednesday this week, a breakthrough in cross-chain liquidity. The product of intensive research and development, the Swing Widget can be easily integrated into any DEX, wallet, or DeFi platform, providing instant access to cross-chain liquidity.
The Widget allows developers to go cross-chain in a matter of hours rather than days, abstracting much of the complexity associated with navigating cross-chain architecture. In the process, it gives DeFi users better pricing and lower slippage by seamlessly connecting them to deep liquidity – wherever it resides.
Making Cross-Chain a Reality
Swing was founded with the goal of making web3 work seamlessly, regardless of the asset, chain, or amount being swapped. Today, we’ve moved a significant step closer to realizing that goal with the release of the Swing Widget. It enables developers to create powerful applications that utilise liquidity on 21 EVM networks.
In one fell swoop, the Widget solves several of the problems that have constrained existing cross-chain solutions: lengthy setup process for cross-chain dApp deployment; prohibitive costs of hosting and maintaining multiple blockchain nodes; and the security risks of spinning up proprietary cross-chain solutions.
While third party solutions can automate much of the functionality required to launch a multi-chain dApp, they introduce their own problems; last year $2 billion was lost through bridging exploits alone. Moving assets between chains remains a complex exercise that’s fraught with risk.
Throw in the costs of maintaining cross-chain architecture, including the need to retain developers to maintain endpoints, APIs, RPCs, and all the rest, and it’s easy to see why multi-chain applications are few and far between.
The Swing Widget eliminates these problems through a best-in-class solution that provides a safer and more cost-efficient way of interacting with smart contract chains. Its features and benefits include:
✅ Reduces Go-to-Market Time ⏳
✅ Chain-agnostic ⛓
✅ Smart Liquidity Routing 🔀
✅ Simplifies User Onboarding
✅ Cross-Chain Transfers & Swaps 🔄
✅ Reduces Engineering hours 👨💻
✅ Integrates Multiple Bridges 🌉
✅ Unlocks Cross-Chain Staking
One Widget, a World of Possibilities
The Swing Widget represents a giant leap towards realizing a cross-chain world where liquidity can be accessed on any of the leading smart contract chains. It delivers chain-agnostic routing of crypto liquidity, making it ideal for a myriad of use cases.
Using the Swing Widget you can:
Create a cross-chain DEX
Launch a crossi-chain wallet
Develop an omni-chain NFT marketplace
Create an advanced payments application
Build a cross-chain lending platform
Release a sophisticated yield aggregator
Enable Cross-Chain swaps within GameFi & Metaverse
…and much more.
Designed by cross-chain developers for cross-chain developers, the Swing Widget dramatically slashes the go-to-market time for cross-chain applications. It makes it possible to implement a true cross-chain solution with just two lines of code. In the process, it eliminates the need to monitor, maintain and integrate more than 10 separate bridges.
By connecting to the Swing SDK, the Swing Widget supports 21 EVM networks at present.
EVM: Polygon, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Gnosis, Fantom, Arbitrum, Optimism, Moonriver, Moonbeam, Harmony, Cronos, Aurora, Boba, Metis and OKExChain.
Support to be released soon for the following 4 Non-EVM networks.
Non-EVM: Cosmos, Solana, Polkadot, and Elrond.
“Unlocking cross-chain liquidity is essential to the continued growth of the blockchain and crypto industry,” said Swing CEO Viveik Vivekananthan. “Crypto capital will travel across chains to the protocols that are best positioned to serve the multitude of new users entering the space, regardless of what ecosystem they’re currently invested in.”
While the Swing Widget is a major advancement in bringing cross-chain to the masses, there’s still more to be done in realizing this goal. In the coming months, we’ll be expanding the non-EVM chains the Swing SDK supports, introducing cross-chain staking, and expanding the wallet infrastructure we support (Phantom, Elrond).
In addition, we’ll be further refining the Swing SDK and Widget to enhance the development experience which in turn will deliver a better user experience.
